Sally Hansen Miracle Gel

Recently I was given the opportunity to test the new Sally Hansen Miracle Gel nail polish set through Influenster. I was super excited because my nail polish lasts for maybe 24 hours on average, no matter how much time I spend on it. The Miracle Gel set says it will last for up to 14 days and there's no special equipment needed. Sign me up!!!

Here's my voxbox upon opening:

Pretty sweet! The color (Redgy) is a little different than I would normally choose for myself but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Stepping out of my comfort zone a bit will be fun.

I painted my nails with the kit today. The first thing I noticed was how awesome the brush is. It's curved and really allowed me to get smooth, even coverage on my nail without having to load up the brush with polish. I usually have a terrible time painting my nails. Not so this time. Check out how clean it looks:

I applied 2 coats of polish like the directions stated and then applied the top coat, which sets the manicure. The top coat goes on evenly and smoothly. The only issue I had was a little color transfer onto the brush of the top coat, even though my color was dry. I just wiped it off with a paper towel. I'm impressed with the shine and smoothness of this nail color. And even though I questioned the color a bit, I actually really like it on. My husband even said he thinks it looks "pretty."

I'm anxiously awaiting to see if it will last the full 14 days. Anything over a day would be just fine for me. With dishes and bathing my little ones, I will have plenty of opportunity to test its durability. I will keep you updated.

*Update*: After 5 days I started to get a little wear on the tips of my nails but the shine and color lasted! I love how long I was able to wear this polish. Usually my polish chips the very next day. I definitely recommend this and will be purchasing other colors for myself.
